Leaders Leaving and Closing a Branch
Here are the forms that you need should you wish to stop volunteering with YAC or close your YAC Branch. Please read the information below carefully and consult the guidance in your Leaders’ handbook before filling in these forms. If you are thinking of closing your Branch you should also contact YAC HQ who can give you support and advice.
Leader Leaving Form
If you are no longer able to volunteer with YAC please inform us by completing the Leader Leaving form and returning it to YAC HQ. We will then update our records to show that you have left the Branch, and remove you from the email network. YAC retains your details for a period of three years after you inform us of your leaving. After this time your details are destroyed.
We would like to thank you for all the time and commitment you have given to YAC.
Should you wish to return to YAC, or join a new Branch within three years of leaving, we can simply re-instate your details. If more than three years have passed since you left, you will need to re-apply (details of which can be found on the Volunteer Registration page).
Branch Closure Form
If you are finding it difficult to run the Branch, please ask for help, rather than struggling on until the point of no return. YAC HQ can provide support and help. We can help you with the recruitment of new volunteers and suggest ways of spreading the load. It may help to place the Branch ‘On Hold’ for a period of up to four months, to give you and your team a chance to regroup and make a decision about the future of the group. Please remember you must keep YAC HQ informed of the status of your Branch.
If the only option is to close your Branch please complete the Branch Closure form, as well as following the guidelines set out in your Leaders’ handbook and contact YAC HQ.
