Working with other organisations or people can be very beneficial: you don’t need to deliver every session yourself! Read our guidance on sessions delivered by guests.

Images and filming
Photography and film are invaluable ways to promote your YAC and to share ideas. Safeguards must be put in place to ensure that informed consent is obtained and that images are not used where consent has not been sought or in ways which could be abusive.
Incidents and emergency procedures
This page sets out what do in the case of an emergency. This could be an injury, a lost child or the evacuation of a building or space for example. We also provide guidance on first aid and incidents unrelated to safeguarding.
Individual support plans
Completing an Individual Support Plan for a YAC member or volunteer with a known allergy, medical condition or any other support needs will provide information that is used to support them during YAC sessions, help plan for activities, and to help them in an emergency.
Record keeping
It is important to consider how the information you gather will be recorded, stored and shared. YAC HQ provides proformas for all the records you need to keep.
Closing a branch
YAC teams sometimes find it difficult to continue. YAC HQ can offer advice on how to support your branch when facing challenges and procedures for pausing or closing your YAC branch.
