That is a very big question…. What you need to do is to get someone to help you look on something called ‘Pastscape’, which is a great website that will give you the sort of information that you are asking about. Also Chichester District Council has its own record, called a Historic Environment Record (or HER), which you can also look up and will tell you about what is in your area.
