Wales Online YAC

Wales Online YAC is open to everyone aged 8–16 years, and if you are over 16 you can still get involved as a volunteer.

YAC clubs get involved in all sorts of activities, including investigating archaeological sites and historic places, trying out traditional crafts, and lots more.

Wales Online YAC is based fully online and usually meets on the second Saturday of each month between 10.30am and 12 noon. It is run by volunteers and is currently free of charge.

A team of volunteers runs the club: if you want to know more about how we recruit YAC volunteers and make sure children at YAC clubs are well looked after, check out our FAQs.

Our monthly sessions include a presentation from one our team (or sometimes a guest speaker!) on a fascinating topic in archaeology, a craft-along activity and opportunities to participate through quizzes and activities. We love to work with our young archaeologists to explore topics and themes that are interesting to them and will help them grow in their archaeological skills and knowledge, and have lots of fun along the way!

If you’d like to get involved with Wales Online YAC or find out more about how the club is run, get in touch with the team using the details above. When you sign up you will receive a Welcome Pack and a ‘what to expect’ guide.
