YAC has teamed up with super-duper archaeologist, award-winning children’s author, and Honorary President of the Council for British Archaeology, Raksha Dave, to run a new competition for our members.
To celebrate her brand new book The Archaeologists’ Discoveries, Raksha has been answering YAC member’s questions about archaeology and her new publication. Check out the video below.
Raksha has also made three signed copies of ‘The Archaeologists’ Discoveries’ available for YAC members to win.

Raksha has publishing her second children’s book, which explores archaeological discoveries from around the world, and we’re very excited about it!
Raksha’s book features ten treasures, including Ötzi’s copper axe (from prehistoric Europe), Tutankhamun’s sandals (from ancient Egypt), and the Chacoan jet frog (from Chaco Canyon, New Mexico). The book explores how precious ancient treasures are – not for their gold, but for the stories they reveal about the past.
To celebrate the launch, Raksha has taken part in a special ‘Ask An Archaeologist’. Find out how she chose the different ‘treasures’ featured in her book, where she would travel back in time and much more!
