YAC celebrates Out and About Archaeology!

Today is the start of the Council for British Archaeology’s Out and About Archaeology events programme for 2026!
Out and About Archaeology is all about helping everyone explore the archaeology of our towns and villages, forests and rivers, open spaces and terraced streets! From the 18 – 24 May 2026 you can actively explore the amazing and rich archaeology and heritage across the UK by joining one of our guided events, digital tours, online talks, downloadable trails and hands-on activities.
Alongside the CBA’s events, we are also highlighting events and activities happening across the UK throughout May delivered by a range of organisations. Check out our event listings and on-demand talks and resources to discover archaeology and heritage close to you.
