I just wondered if you have any advice on becoming an archaeologist and what is the most important tool within your whole kit! Alice (9)

Hello Alice, my advice to become an archaeologist would be to start as early as you can! You can join your local Young Archaeologists’ Club, or work on some excavations (especially the ones organised by associations) as a volunteer once you get a bit older.

As for my most important tool, I would say my notebook: as an archaeologist, I am always taking notes, drawing sketches and getting as much information as possible on site is very important!

I wish you good luck and I hope you do become an archaeologist, it’s a great job where you get to use many different skills!
