Lewes Castle is one of the oldest castles in England, built soon after the Norman Conquest. The views over Lewes and the Downs are worth the climb up the Keep. Barbican House Museum is opposite the Castle. Displays include flint tools, pottery, and other archaeological finds. Model of Lewes from Victorian times.
