Play Hunt the Slipper

Many of the Christmas traditions we know today were popularised by the Victorians. In this era people, especially the wealthier people, had more free time and invented “Parlour Games” to play at Christmas or other events and many are still popular party games today!

Adult supervision is not required for this activity.

How many people required (minimum) : 4+

Ages : All ages

Time Required: 1 hour

Step 1

Sit in a circle with an object with one person in the middle.

Step 2

Pass the object around the circle behind each other’s backs while the person in the middle closes their eyes and counts to 10.

Step 3

When the person in the middle finishes counting, stop passing the object around the circle.

Step 4

The person in the middle must then point to who they think has the object.

Step 5

If the person gets it right, they swap with the person holding the object and the game continues.
