It's British Science Week
British Science Week, run by the British Science Association, is a ten-day celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths, featuring entertaining and engaging events and activities across the UK for people of all ages.
This year's British Science Week runs from 9th to the 18th March.
Your school may be running special events and activities to mark British Science Week, and there are lots of other ways to get involved too. Check out the map of events on the Science Live website to find out what's on near you!
Awesome activity packs
The team behind British Science Week have put together some free activity packs themed around discovery and exploration. And we're thrilled that two of YAC's favourite activities are included!
Our 'Poos from the Past' activity features in the Primary Pack (for 5-11 year olds), and you can 'Grow your own cropmark' in the Secondary Pack (for 11-16 year olds).
The packs are designed for teachers, but they can be used by anyone, so why not download them today to get some science inspiration?!
'Poos from the past' and 'Grow your own cropmark' are also featured on the YAC website in our 'Things to do' section, where you can also find lots of other awesome activities.
British Science Week also features a poster competition.
The theme for the 2018 poster competition is exploration and discovery. Find out more about how to enter on the British Science Week website.
