 First Aid and general site safety .

Location: Lower Hall Baptist Meeting Place  St Mary's road Faversham ME13 6EH

We have a qualified First Aid trainer coming in to give members some basic first aid training and safety talk . We will also be discussing basic safety when on a archaeological site, such as care /safety of trowels, /why you need tell people when you are working in a trench .

Building on their knowledge ready for further site visits later in the year .

Whitstable Railway and the INVICTA locomotive (built by Robert Stevenson as a follow on from the Rocket) .

Location: Whitstable Museum 5A Oxford Street Whitstable Kent CT5 1DB 

Guided Talk on the Whitstable railway and the INVICTA engine which is now back at the museum followed by chance to wander round the museum and see the first ever diving helmets invented locally and the pudding pan pots from a Roman vessel wrecked off the coast still being found today. 

Parents willing to stay 

Parking at Middle wall or Gladstone Road carparks both nearby .

Oxford Street is the continuation of the High Street going away from the harbour/seafront.
