My name is Rory and I would recommend this book to anyone who’s interested in early Roman history….

The book is published by Book House and is part of the ‘Graphic Non-fiction’ series.

Spartacus, an army deserter and slave, is forced to fight to the death as a gladiator for the entertainment of his masters. But Spartacus rebels. After a daring escape, he and his fellow slaves rise up to face the might of Rome.

The book starts by setting the scene of the story, telling the reader about the events surrounding the book. The main story then begins in a comic book format, the life of Spartacus and his rise to fame.

The book is historically correct, not portraying Spartacus in a misleading way as some comic books would.

Older readers might prefer this book to read, as some of the language might seem complicated for younger readers.

I would recommend it to anyone who’s interested in early Roman history.

Rating: I would give this book 9/10
