Young Archaeologist Competitions

YAC runs a number of exciting competitions for our YAC UK members only!

Recruit-a-Friend competition

The winter issue of Young Archaeologist magazine is the 150th issue of the magazine! YAC is using the occasion to launch YAC’s ‘Recruit-a-Friend’ campaign.

The next four issues of Young Archaeologist magazine will include a special ‘Recruit-a-Friend’ postcard which will be sent to all YAC UK members. Then it’s over to you! Please send the postcard to anyone you know who might be interested in joining YAC UK and wants to become a Young Archaeologist just like you. If you are an adult who receives the Young Archaeologist magazine then please send it out to any potential new YAC UK members that you know too.

If a YAC UK member ‘Recruits-a-Friend’ they will be entered into our fantastic prize draw. The first prize will be a brilliant archaeological tool roll which has been kindly provided by our partner organisation, Archtools. Your newly recruited friend will also win a prize, their very own archaeological trowel!

You can join the Young Archaeologists’ Club by cheque or by using a Debit or Credit Card. More details can be found on the reverse of the ‘Recruit-a-Friend’ postcard which includes a Gift Aid declaration and the YAC HQ address.

If you have lots of friends that you would like to recruit then you can download more ‘Recruit-a-Friend’ postcards here. You can also find a tear out form in the back of your YAC Pass booklet. The more who join the merrier!
