Festival of Archaeology 2017: Messy museum day at West Berkshire Museum
Family activity day at West Berkshire Museum
West Berkshire Museum is celebrating the Festival of Archaeology with a messy museum day on Friday 28th July. Visit the Museum for loads of hands-on fun!
Drop in between 10:00 and 15:00 to do some cave painting on a clay tile using twigs, feathers and other Stone Age-inspired painting equipment. Find out about cave painting and handle real Stone Age artefacts!
There's a mini Roman archaeological dig on the activity trolley in the permanent exhibition, as well as a free archaeology-themed trail. And there's free entry to the museum as usual too!
Friday 28th July 2017, from 10:00-15:00
West Berkshire Museum, 1 The Wharf, Newbury, West Berkshire, RG14 5AS
