You can start by undertaking a desk based assessment to find out what potential remains survive in your local area. Consult Session Plan 3 'What was our area like 100 years ago, at the time of the First World War? How is it different today?' for guidance on conducting your own internet based search.
Set yourself a time limit, an hour or two.
Once you have completed your desk based assessment you can now consider whether you have the potential, such as enough remains or local sites, to generate interest and excitement for your group.
