Moors & Valleys YAC is open to everyone aged 8–16 years. The club gets involved in all sorts of activities, including demonstrations, craft activities, museum object handling, visiting and investigating archaeological sites and historic places and lots more.
Moors & Valleys YAC is based at the The Moors National Park Centre in Danby, near Whitby, YO21 2NB. Although, we will run activities across North Yorkshire and Teesside.
Our sessions are free and will run 11am- 1pm on the first Saturday of each month. As our sessions will move about frequently we have a varying number of places on each session, which we allocate on a first come, first served basis. Therefore booking is essential (by email or telephone). We also provide materials for the activities and refreshments.
As out last session unfortunately had to be cancelled due to the weather we will be running it on 7th April instead. Its is called 'Down to the Bare Bones' and will be held at Teesside University, Middlesbrough.
The following session is called 'Getting to Know Gravestones' and will be out first fieldtrip of the year. This will run in Brotton on 5th May.
