Bexley YAC

Contact:Francine Hills

Digging on site in Bexley Bexley YAC is open to everyone aged 8–16 years. We get involved in all sorts of activities, including visiting and investigating archaeological sites and historic places, trying out traditional crafts, taking part in excavations, and lots more.

Starting this year we are running a training programme for our older members so they have a national recognised record of the skills they have been taught to take onto college or a work placement.

Bexley YAC is based in Bexley in Greater London and usually meets once a month. In the summer we meet on site in Bexley and in the winter we meet at Bexley Archives and Local Studies.

All our leaders are DBS checked and are part of Bexley Archaeological Group, they all wear red shirts with names on.

We charge a joining fee of £10 then £3 per session. All our sessions are booked on a first come first served basis.

A team of volunteers runs the club: if you want to know more about how we recruit YAC volunteers and make sure children at YAC clubs are well looked after, check out our FAQs.

If you’d like to get involved with Bexley YAC, get in touch with the team using the details above.

IMPORTANT, please note: The 2018 programme at Bexley YAC will begin in March 2018. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Bexley YAC leaders cannot currently respond to email enquiries. Please contact YAC HQ at and we can pass on messages as necessary.
