Sessions and events coming up

in 2012

This year's main sessions are based around a theme of MEDICINE!

Saturday 10th of MARCH

MEDICINE and ARCHAEOLOGY

Swansea Museum – SWANSEA – 10am to 12 noon

Over the centuries, mankind sometimes got ill or injured, and through luck or good judgement has found cures for these ailments. This session, we will be looking at what we know about some of the methods used, from the Neolithic right up to the 20th century.

As we are gathering together items to put in our own Time Capsule, please bring something along that you would like to put in it. It could be a comic, or a picture of a favourite celebrity, perhaps a favourite toy, or anything else you think of that someone like you in the future would be amazed at.

You are welcome to stay in the museum after the session ends, as admission is free, but please ask your parents first!
