In July we took part in a dig at Dilston.

In April we found out what archaeologists can learn about the past from human remains. Read Richard's report of the meeting.
In March we got wrapped up in the Egyptians.
The February meeting was a field trip to Woodhorn Colliery.
At the January meeting we learnt about the Ancient Greeks. We made Greek plates, learnt about pottery and tried on Greek armour. We even had a caption competition.
In December we had a visit from Beamish Museum staff. They told us about life in Victorian times and we learned to play Victorian games. Its surprising how many of the adults could remember how to play those games – just how old are they?
At the November meeting, Centurion Maximus told us about life in the Roman Army and brought lots of things to show us and try on. We learnt how to march and how to play different Roman games.
