At the January meeting we learnt about the Ancient Greeks. We made Greek plates, learnt about pottery and tried on Greek armour. We even had a caption competition.

In December we had a visit from Beamish Museum staff. They told us about life in Victorian times and we learned to play Victorian games. Its surprising how many of the adults could remember how to play those games – just how old are they?

At the November meeting, Centurion Maximus told us about life in the Roman Army and brought lots of things to show us and try on.

We learnt how to march and how to play different Roman games.
